Presented by Željko Zidarić. A story told by Jacques de Bourbon, a high-ranking Knight that participated in the Grand Master's Council, and had access to reports provided by envoys and spies. He published “La grande et merveilleuse et très cruelle oppugnation de la noble cité de Rhodes…”, in 1525. For Jacques, the account of the siege was a way to show his loyalty to Grand Master Philippe de Villiers, who was being slandered for having surrendered. Jaques, born in 1466, was an illegitimate son of Louis de Bourbon, Prince-Bishop of Liège (1438-82). He became the Grand Prior of the Jesuits in France, joined the Knights in 1503.
